Within creation we face the possibility of the dilemma of originality, especially when it seems as though everything has been done. Decline seeks to explicate the choices a contemporary artist makes in this somewhat - 'post-everything' environment. The works and their inter-relationships explore both opposition and unity, even though employing both alternative and traditional methods when making work. Decline signifies this notion- of a possibly apocalyptic era for art, where it's arguably become more about searching for alternative ways to create original work, than attaining skill within known and practised traditions.
